MELISSA CREEDE, P. ENG., CPCC, PCC
I coach, train and facilitate to enable individuals and organizations activate their full potential. I aim to be the catalyst that sparks transformative leadership development in my clients.
I recognized the importance of career management and leadership development early in my career. I rose from Project Coordinator to Vice-President in just four short years, holding an executive role by the time I was thirty. I now coach others to be purposeful about their own leadership aspirations and successful in their existing and desired roles.
I am a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute, certified through the International Coach Federation, and trained in Appreciative Inquiry and other engagement methodologies. I have coached in the academic, public and private sectors in business areas ranging from IT to telecom, financial, energy, health care, professional services, sustainability and transportation.
meaningful experience
I founded Sapis Insight in 2009 to focus on developing leaders.
After working as an engineer at the beginning of my career, I rose the ranks to Vice-President at The Delphi Group, where I advised corporations, governments and institutions on climate change, clean energy and sustainability issues. Through my consulting work, I began to recognize that meaningful change requires a sense of purpose: It only happens when leaders make a conscious choice and commitment to themselves. It begins with the deliberate work of growing your self-awareness and crafting a compelling and strategic vision.
I recognized that simply reacting to events is not enough: for change to be sustainable, organizations need to invest in their leaders, and leaders need to invest in themselves. I transitioned to coaching work so I could specialize in helping people and organizations make this happen.
What I know now is that the magic of transformation needs a third ingredient. Change requires a catalyst—an agent of change. And that is where I come in.
I bring a unique combination of career experience, technical coaching expertise, intuition and interpersonal skills to every coaching relationship—and no two relationships are ever the same. I endeavour to be the spark that ignites change and the bridge to a new level of leadership for my clients.
I have been helping to deliver change in urban board rooms, rural communities and everywhere in between in multiple countries for more than two decades
corporate social responsibility
I live my environmental and social commitments at work and at home. Early in my career, I was named to Eco-Canada’s Honour Roll as one of 10 recognized leaders in the environmental industry. I have dedicated much of my career to work related to the green economy. At home, solar panels supply my hot water and a waste-wood heating system provides winter warmth. I drive an electric car when I drive at all.
I enjoy engaging, informing and inspiring leaders and the next generation of leaders through a variety of volunteer initiatives.
adventure and joy
I have a passion for encountering other cultures. I believe that my past extensive travel around numerous continents has stretched my mind, taught me how to navigate unexpected challenges, and helped me recognize the value of considering new perspectives.
